Anne Elliot is done!

I'm so proud of this! It only took me 2-ish weeks, and the fit is almost perfect. I used Patons Grace on size 4 needles and used 3 skeins. Modified for the needles and for a smaller size, my cast-on amounts were: 72 for the back, 32 for the front panels, and 55 for the sleeves. I used a knit pattern for sugar scallops around the edge since I don't crochet.

And without further ado, let the photos begin!

Anne Elliot Spencer

I am about 6 inches into the back of this cardigan, and I looooove it!! I had to first get some clarification on the clover lace (if you're wondering, the extra stitches on rows 3, 5, and 9 are simply knit), but then I dove right in! I'll try and get pictures posted soon, or at least by the time I finish with the back piece.
The pattern is at http://canaryknits.blogspot.com/2007/05/wee-spencer-christened-anne-elliot.html if you're interested :)
Happy knitting!

I'm Back!

OK, so it's been awhile since I posted here. OK, more than awhile. But the lovely ravelry.com has sparked my interest anew in blending my knitting with the world wide web, so here I am again.

I've been on ravelry since September of last year, but I mostly just took advantage of it to look at patterns and get ideas for which yarn to use when. But I've had quite a bit of free time since summer started, so I decided to actually upload all my projects on there. Since that includes my Hibiscus Pullover, I linked to this blog and then thought "hmm these people are going to wonder why I posted 3 times and then disappeared." So I thought it best to reappear!

Since I last posted, I've knit my first pair of socks,

the quintessential fetchings,

and a modified version of the kimono-type Stargazer sweater. Now I'm getting ready to embark on the Anne Elliot Spencer (a lace cropped cardigan) for my summer project.

As for other happenings in my life, I finished my freshman year (!) and got a job for the summer at a paint-your-own-pottery studio (!!). So, if I ever get around to painting anything for myself, those might end up on this blog too :)

That's about it for now. Hopefully I'll stick with this new plan and actually blog a little when I have new knitting adventures. Oh yeah, and if you want to see my ravelry, it's at http://www.ravelry.com/people/CraftyGal13
